BOWLING AT MARINA RUBICON
This is an excellent complex and a must if you have kids. The bowling alley has lots of facilities, it even has a great play area and inflatable fun activities for the smaller children. Brilliant fun with lots of bowling lanes so perfect for families, groups and romantic couples!

ESCAPE ROOMS PLAYA BLANCA
Maybe you fancy a bit of adventure? What better way to spend a rainy day then having the adventure of a lifetime in one of the many escape rooms around. Check out ‘Island Quest’. This company runs incredible adventures. They have three brilliant games to choose from and each game lasts an hour. There is a Harry Potter themed game, an archaeological mystery and a heist game. All are suitable for 2-5 players.

It goes without saying that if you are a book lover, The Bookswop is perfect for you. They have an excellent selection of Spanish and English books, both new and secondhand, definitely a good value for the money.

SHOPPING AT MARINA RUBICON
Marina Rubicon can be found at a sheltered bay in the heart of the amazing Lanzarote and next to the protected peaks of Los Ajaches and a short sail from Papagayo’s superb beaches. With these beautiful surroundings it is an amazing place to shop or have coffee, drinks or a tapas at any of the wonderful cafes and bars that can be found in the village. The Marina is an elegant village loved by sailors, cruisers and holiday makers. There is an outdoor pool, a diving centre and a sailing school, as well as a huge selection of shops, cafes and bars. You will find plenty of indoor attractions here!

Outside Playa Blanca
If you are feeling extra adventurous, why not pile into your rented car and head further afield outside of Playa Blanca.
Wine tasting in the Heria area
There are a few options here. We recommend the Le Geria Wine tasting tour. You will be picked up from a nearby spot and brought to three wine tasting areas, explore beautiful view along the way and experience the local culture and elegance at some lovely vineyards.

Puerto Calero
The nearby town of Puerto Calero also has some interesting things to offer. This has a beautiful marine area, is very picturesque and away from the more touristy areas. As well as shops you will find exquisite bars, cafes and yachts here. The surrounding area is protected so expect some beautiful nature.
Sports Club Puerto Calero has some fantastic indoor courts so you can get some great fitness activities indoor, away from the rain.

Submarine Safari
This is an excellent adventure to try and perfect in any weather. Even though you will be under water you will not get wet! The famous Lanzarote submarine will diverto the ocean depths, an incredible experience and a great way to see ocean life first hand.

Movie Vault
How about a movie marathon to get you dry on a wet day? Head down to the Movie Vault in Playa Blanca and rent some classic titles! They have an incredible selection of all the latest movies and boxsets, plus some brilliant Spanish movies that you won’t find anywhere else!

ARRECIFE
The capital of Lanzarote is well worth a visit even on a wet day, you will find a castle, a beautiful salt water lagoon, an old church and of course the famous museum grab a couple of umbrellas and go for it Getting to Arrefife is easy and from the main bus terminal in Playa Blanca the bus will cost you €3 or if you prefer a taxi it will set you back €40
Wall Climbing
The ‘Hang on’ wall climbing centre is a must for all adventurous climbers and boasts 500 feet of floor space and 200 feet of climbing levels. It has many different difficulty levels, ranging from kids' play to experienced mountain climbers, a great way to spend a wet afternoon.

Aeronautics museum
This very interesting aeronautical museum is located below the first terminal of the airport which is very close to Arrecife. This is a must for any aeronautical enthusiast and has an incredible range of aircraft history and interesting displays.

Casa Amerilla
If you decide to visit Arrecife this should be on your list. A historical building with classic 1920s mustard hall was once the home of the Lanzarotes Cabildo which is the governing council, but it now hosts touring exhibits so you will be sure to find some beautiful art here.
Vitaldad Spa
Why not treat and pamper yourself to a spa whilst you wait for the rain to pass. Vitalidad Spa is considered by many to be the top spa in Lanzarote. Easily accessible in the centre of Playa Blanca this spa has a wide range and massage treatments and amazing amenities. A beautiful way to spend the day!!

LANZAROTE AQUARIUM
What could be more fun than a trip to the aquarium! There is a huge selection of canarian fish, sharks and of course the famous turtles!

THE GREEN CAVES ( Cueva de los Verdes)
Take a trip to the fabled green caves and experience the beautiful splendour within. This is a very impressive hidden wonder on the island and was created after the volcano erupted. Since then it is part of many mythological and pirate tales! You can take a guided tour of the cave and it lasts about 7 hours.

THE UNDERWATER MUSEUM
This is for the adventurous divers and whilst the rain won't get you you will get wet! They have packages for beginners and experienced. Take a dive under the water and experience this brilliant aquatic museum with amazing giant sculptures under the water. This is an incredible experience for the thrill seeker!

Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park
Located south of Lanzarote is Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park, a zoo and water park. The park is home to exotic animals such as crocodiles, raccoons, armadillos, sea lions, and tigers. Additionally, you can see parrot shows, bird of prey shows, cowboy ribbon shows, and more. There are also some great restaurants and bars to eat at. Parts of this park are not weather dependent so it can be enjoyed on a wet day but some attractions are in the open but it definitely a good option on a wet day.
